Despite being a Senior Pastor’s son, Adam Durso led a rebellious life as a young adult. But, due to the fervent prayers of his mother, Maria Durso, and other prayer warriors, Adam came to the realization that he was in need of God, and totally surrendered his life to Him at the age of 19. One morning, while vacuuming the church sanctuary, Adam received a vision from God of the sanctuary filled with young people, and he heard the words, “Youth Explosion.” It would be a place where young people would be engaged and meet God in an untraditional “church” atmosphere. Upon receiving this vision, Adam assembled a small team of youth leaders who shared his passion to ignite the fuse of this explosion. They started out with only 18 young people, but began to pray and fast with much faith, expecting God to do great things. In their first meeting, over 60 young people flooded the altar desiring to dedicate their lives to God. Since then, every meeting has been full to capacity with young people who have chosen God over worldly substitutes. Today, Adam serves as Youth Explosion’s Executive Director, and as Christ Tabernacle’s Executive Pastor, along with his wife, Luz. Youth Explosion has become one of New York’s largest youth groups. The ministry welcomes 500 young people every Friday night at their weekly service, “The Aftershock,” and its ripple effects are expanding beyond New York. Youth Explosion has been featured on the 700 Club, BET Nightly News, ABC Teen News, CBS News, BBC Radio, in the NY Times, VIBE Magazine, and NY Newsday. God also opened doors for Youth Explosion to partner with Six Flags Great Adventure to host 5 events at their local theme park, which attraced over 10,000 people each year. This past February, Youth Explosion partnered with Teen Mania Ministries and Acquire the Fire in hosting Battle Cry Recreate NYC….and, the best is yet to come!

A More Than God
I believe like never before that there is a generation about to rise up that is going to be nameless, faceless, not worried about egos or how good they sound because God overshadows their talents.
Like Father Like Son
Today, in America, we are mastering and becoming experts in the "Blame Game". We blame each other for anything and everything, especially when things don't go our way, or as we anticipated.
The Prelude To The Presence of God
Picture this- you are in charge of an orphanage full of children from all backgrounds, and age groups. At dinner time, the famished children run into the kitchen expecting to fill their stomachs. There's only one glitch- there is no food on the table.
Reopen The Temple Doors
In God's economy there is a perfect balance, but we can tarnish and off set the scales by our own admission and wrongful actions.
Plugged in Today's Hip-Hop Culture
Within the past decade a new way of music permeated the church walls and stirred controversy in our midst.
