Bizarro World Conference
From the creators of Youth Explosion, Upside Down Inc. is co-hosting with Willow Creek Association Student Ministries the Bizarro World Student Ministry Conference in New York City. Bizarro World Student Ministry Conference will take place at the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, New York on January 29th and 30th 2010. These two ministries are co-hosting this first time ever student ministry training event together, that will provide developmental training for urban and suburban youth leaders and their volunteers. This day and half training will feature the following speakers: Dr. AR Bernard, Rev. Harvey Carey, Bo Boshers, Rev. Adam Durso, Greg Steir along with many other local and national experts. Youth Explosion choir is featured on the highly anticipated BET network series, “106 & Park Presents-Generation Gospel”. For the first four weeks, Youth Explosion will be the “house choir” for the show which airs Sundays at noon and features artists such as Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbet, Da Truth, Marvin Sapp, Mary Mary and many more!
YE & Urban Impact
On Saturday, December 8th, 2007 Youth Explosion and Urban Impact partnered for a Christmas Celebration with special guest Former New York Knick Alan Houston and New York Yankee Relief Pitcher Mariano Rivera. Over 100 kids participated in the day long event which included a concert with YE ensemble and spoken word by Oraia, special messages by the athletes and a Christmas dinner and gifts for all the children.
